Since our founding, Taming My M.E.S.S. Foundation, led by Kenyatta Mccloud, has been dedicated to community initiatives that support women in transition through various mentorship programs and personal growth opportunities. This comprehensive reentry initiative, spearheaded by the non-profit organization, aims to reduce recidivism among women in Duval County. By directly recruiting from local and state female correctional institutions, the program reaches women in transition at a critical point and provides the necessary support to help them rebuild their lives with confidence and purpose. 


Mentorship Programs: Personalized guidance and connection with trained mentors, like Kenyatta Mccloud, who have experienced similar journeys, offering pre- and post-release mentoring and guidance that fosters personal growth and resilience.


Employment: Job readiness training, career coaching, and resume support lead to sustainable work opportunities, empowering women to transform their lives.


Stability: The initiative focuses on building essential life skills, connecting participants to housing resources, and establishing a sustainable daily routine.


Support Services: Holistic support centered on emotional wellness, community connections, and everyday needs, all aimed at supporting women and promoting women empowerment.

• Mentee: A woman who has faced a significant life barrier within the last year and is still working to find balance in life.

• Mentor: A woman who has successfully overcome a significant life barrier over a year ago and is now ready to guide and inspire others.


At Taming My M.E.S.S. Foundation, we provide individualized and holistic services to support women on their journey toward personal and professional growth. Our services include:

• Pre Release Services: In partnership with the Department of Corrections, we support women preparing to reenter the community and successfully transition back into society. 

• Holistic Approach: Tailored guidance addressing mental, emotional, and social well-being.

• Community Partnerships: Connecting individuals with trusted community resources.

• Workforce Development: Assistance with job search, resumes, and career coaching.

• Notary Services: Convenient, on-site notary support.

• Women Support Groups: Safe spaces to share, heal, and grow with others.

• Girls Circle: Empowering young women through mentorship and structured activities.

• Technology Access: On-site computers, WiFi, fax, and printing services for professional use.



We are located in the heart of downtown, conveniently situated between the jail and the courthouse. For the safety and privacy of the women we serve, the exact address is confidential.
